RowdyAF is built to collect as little as possible. Players don't create accounts, and nothing you say into your phone's microphone is recorded. This page explains what the game does handle and why.
To play, you only enter a room code, a name (a nickname is fine) and pick a team. We don't ask for your email, phone number or real name, and we don't sell or share personal information with advertisers.
While a show is running, the game room on our servers holds what it needs to run the game: player names and teams, scores, answers you type, votes, drawings and the game log. Everyone in that room can see names, scores and anything shown on the TV. Rooms are short-lived and are not linked to your identity. Don't type anything into the game you wouldn't want the room to see.
Your phone stores small preferences in its browser (for example your name for a room, whether you've confirmed you're 18+, and which questions this device has already played) so you don't have to re-enter them. You can clear these at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
You can deny any of these permissions and still play using on-screen buttons.
Hosts don't need an account either. Show settings (team names, music links, chosen games) are kept on the host's device and in the room. If you cast to a TV or use a TV browser, that screen connects to the room to display the show.
The only accounts are for people who manage the game's content. Those accounts store the admin's name and email to sign in and are not used for marketing.
RowdyAF isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from them. After Dark and Lifestyle modes are for adults 18+ only. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Because players don't have accounts, most data disappears when a room ends. To ask about or delete anything associated with you, email support@rowdyaf.tv.
We'll update this page if anything changes; the date at the top shows the latest version. See also our Terms of Use.
